In celebration of the bounty of Upcountry Maui, and in time for the fall harvests, Montessori School of Maui is pleased to announce their second annual Taste of Upcountry on Saturday, October 7, 6-10 PM. The event takes place in a tent on the central lawn of school’s Makawao campus and is the primary fundraising activity for the 2017-18 school year.
Taste of Upcountry is designed to showcase the talent, toil, and camaraderie of Maui’s renowned chefs and Upcountry farmers and purveyors. The evening will feature 10 culinary stations presenting sweet and savory tasting plates by Gary Johnson of Hana Ranch, chef Jacquelyn Torres of Lumeria’s Wooden Crate, chef Brian Etheredge, Ulupalakua Ranch Store, and chef Craig Dryhurst of Four Seasons, just to name a few.
Festivities will include musical performances by Steve Sargenti and William Wainwright and silent and live auctions. Event proceeds directly support student programs, tuition assistance, teachers’ professional development, and campus maintenance. The event is 21+ and open to the public. General Admission starts at $90; VIP Tables at $2,500. For more event information: bit.ly//MOMITaste2017
